Purpose and Process
Pepperdine Magazine is a flagship triannual publication written and designed within Pepperdine’s internal marketing department. Articles tell stories about members of Pepperdine’s growing community of students, faculty, staff, donors, and alumni.
Communication and design teams meet at the beginning of each season to discuss timelines, strategy, and article themes. As editorial content is completed, individual articles are assigned to a designer to develop the visual story. Designers use color, type, imagery, and illustration convey the core essence of each story.
