The Pepperdine Esports team requested a logo that featured a heraldry badge and a reference to the crucifix. Although a wave was not part of the requirements, I saw value in using a wave to tie the esports team to Pepperdine Athletics. The final wave design worked well with the existing Pepperdine Athletics typeface, directly linking the two brand identities.
